Nowadays emails are part of daily life, whoever you do not matter. And it eats a lot of time. And for somedays, if you skip reading emails, then your inbox will be full of hundreds and hundreds of emails.

The relief you get after achieving 2665 emails in the inbox.

For the last 10 months my email inbox having near around 3000 unread emails. And several times I tried to finish them. But the unread email list never went below 2900.

In May 2020, I deleted an unwanted 1500 email from the inbox. And kept only important emails that needed.

The list went to 2500 unread emails again at the start of November. But those were all emails I wanted to read.

This time also I was doing the same thing. But I was repeating the same mistake. To keep emails which I thought are important and later I will go through it.

So I asked myself one question, "Dude, seriously you gonna read all those emails?"

"No"

Then I archived all emails which were kept going through later. Along with promotions, updates from services, and a lot more.

For the last two days, emails kept and quickly I gone through them once finished archiving emails.

While reading/archiving/deleting emails, I unsubscribed lots of old services, newsletters.

The joy of reading emails properly and replying to them came the next day. When my inbox only had a couple of emails. And I don't have any burden to read lots of emails.

This method saved lots of my time and can be helpful to you also. I would recommend this method if your inbox is full. You have to reply to email every day. Do it! Remove all unwanted information.

Please keep note that I kept all important emails archived like bank, accounts, shared documents. You have to be careful about some emails. It can vary from person to person. Priority Changes!

Like in college, I subscribed to many forums and blogs which send notes related to that subject. But that is not required anymore.

If I didn't already own this, how much would I spend to buy it? - Greg McKeown, Essentialism

You can think of a similar while, how much time I would invest in those emails if I don't have them already.

An empty inbox can help you focus more on the task. And less distraction while checking emails.
