Getting Fired from job is very less have to do with your skill and behaviors.


First time I heard that one of the employees got fired.


I got so much scared!


And thinking about it a whole week.


That person must have done something wrong.


Why would they remove him? If he was working well.


There were so many questions in my mind at that time. Which I can not answer myself to justify them. 

My friends also not able to answer them. ??

Over some time, I got to know that person's behavior has very little to do with him getting fired from a job or contract.

It is project requirements, client demand, skill make those decisions. When a client doesn't want that product or there is no income from the project then the company decides to close it.

The most likely company tries to shift those employees to other projects. If they failed to do so, they tell employees to look for opportunities outside the firm. 


Project Termination

When the current project is no longer supported. And the company can not carry on the project and other maintenance tasks on itself. 

Then they do give notice to employees or severance loss money to an employee.


Toxic Boss

It will be a very rare case that you got fired direct and without any notice. This can only happen due to the toxic boss and his supporters.


Cost Cutting

To reduce project cost companies remove costly resources.

Like if there are two persons, person A can do the job at $5 as required and person B with experience does the same job at $15. Then the company will hire person A.

Why would the company want to pay an extra 10$?


Dick Clients

You and the client got into a fight. 

The client got offended or did not like you. He requesting your company to change you and bring someone to your position.

And the company does not have an option to replace you with someone. You will be shifted to other projects.

In India, owners, the manager got their relatives ready to work with them. And there is no place for you. So you have to leave it.




I remember I asked my colleague Anuj questions like, "How can a company remove employees? What is the policy used?"


Anuj told me that the same way you can switch from one company to another. Following procedure by resigning and serving the notice period. The company can do the same by informing the employees. Providing a notice period or giving money equal to the notice period.
